The story of Eli's Maquillage

I'm Elisabeth Nguyen, 18 years old, and the founder of Eli's Maquillage. As a child, I made our own nail and skincare products with my grandmother. This time had a profound impact on me and showed me how important it is to pay close attention to the ingredients in cosmetic products. Even back then, I was skeptical of the big cosmetic companies , whose products are often ethically, ecologically, and health-wise questionable . They've made it their mission to sell us expensive skincare products that are often full of harmful and even carcinogenic ingredients —without any consideration for our health or the environment.

Two years ago, I decided to develop my own nail oil. I was tired of using products that overpromised and ultimately damaged my health. At the time, I was going through a difficult phase in my life. Mental health issues were affecting not only my daily life but also my physical self. My nails were brittle, thin, and so short that I was almost ashamed to show them. It felt like they reflected the state of my inner world—fragile and under attack.

But instead of giving up, I started experimenting. I wanted to create something of my own, something that would strengthen me—inside and out. My nail oil became more than just a skincare product for me. It was a symbol of self-healing and self-care. I spent hours finding the best natural ingredients that would not only nourish my nails but also nourish my soul. Slowly but surely, I began to see the changes: My nails became stronger, healthier, and longer. But it wasn't just the physical result that touched me—it was the process that healed me.

This nail oil helped me through difficult times and became a staple in my self-care routine. It helped me refocus on myself and regain a sense of control and healing. That's why founding Eli's Maquillage was so important to me. I wanted to not only help myself, but also show others that it's possible to care for themselves with natural, ethically produced skincare products—without harming the environment or one's own health.
